2d design
1. Use a graphic design program (Illustrator if you can; Inkspace if you want to use one for free) to build a logo or self-portrait that reflects your identity or an important part of it by using basic shapes and colors that you like. Post the outcome on your blog and add a reflective paragraph about your process.
2. Come up with three ideas about how 2D design can be used creatively in a classroom. Post them on your blog
I've downloaded the Inkspace to build my logo, a cetacean with a clover. The idea of the cetacean came from my last name - liu, in Chinese has the same pronounce as water ("流"), which could be the inspiration of my design, so I draw the water-stream at first and then think about the biggest marine mammals in the ocean - whale / cetacean that demonstrate the dominate power. On the other hand, whales can coexist with humans; they are friends of human beings because of their wildness. Four-leaf clovers are considered 'lucky' for their rarity, which have the similar pronounce of my first name - Leqi. I just combine those 2 elements in one to represent myself. As for the design, I used 6 circle in another layer to decide the shape of the cetacean.
2D design can be used in classroom:
1. Animation design mainly includes animation creative design, illustration design, animation comic characters, scenes, props, storyboards and original painting creative design and various animation software tutoring. It focuses on cultivating imagination and abstract thinking ability.
2. Game design course with unity / scratch with microbit can put theoretical knowledge and excellent practical experience into one simple game design
3. Records his own life and changes the perspective of observing life with the technique of painting. And use story structure to paint his/her daily life out.
4. Using the turtle art, to make students feel engage in the activity
